First there was cotton, steam and the turn of a long shift. Now there are rooms, a bar and a hotel built into the bones of the same red-brick mill.
Spinning Room began as Ashcroft Mill in 1868. Its iron frame, arched windows and loading bays survived decades of reinvention before a five-year restoration brought the building back into public life.
We kept the marks that matter: worn stone where carts once passed, numbered columns, old yarn hooks and the sheer vertical space of the working atrium. Everything new is made to sit confidently beside them.
